I’m pretty sure you’ve all seen the trailer for Shutter Island by now. It’s been around for a while now, and it seems so far to be a fairly standard psychological horror film. There’s just one thing I can’t get over, Leonardo Di Caprio’s annoying New Yawkuh accent. The moment he said “we ah dooly appointed Federal Mawshals,” I just lost it. I know that it was probably the speech of the day, but some people can pull it off, and some people just can’t. Sorry, Leo.
Edit 05/28/2010: Ever since I posted this, people have been telling me that Shutter Island was not bad, and that Leo did a spot-on impression of many varieties of New York accent. (Honestly, I think they just shouted out the first New York neighborhood they could think of.) Great. Apparently, the way New Yorkers talk annoys me. The more you know, I guess.
